Have you ever received an email that looked legitimate but requested personal information, financials details, or a password reset? This type of attack can steal, expose, change, disable, destroy, or sell your information.

In 2020, UK businesses faced 686,961 cyber-attack attempts (an attack every 46 seconds). This can include malware, phishing, man-in-the-middle (MitM) and denial-of-service (DOS) attacks.

IoT Horizon has recently taken the necessary steps through the Cyber Essentials scheme, to mitigate security risks, protect internal systems and demonstrate our commitment to cyber security.

The business is now certified to Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus

Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre. The primary aim of the scheme is to encourage organisations to adopt best practices in information security, in turn making the UK a safer place to do business. Up to 80% of cyber threats can be mitigated for businesses with Cyber Essentials measures.

“Cyber Essentials gave us the opportunity to audit our internal systems and review the processes we had in place. The certification means we can now demonstrate our commitment to cyber security and provide reassurances to our clients. I’d like to congratulate the team for achieving both accreditations in one month”
